Breathing by lifehouse

I'm finding my way back to sanity again
Though I don't really know what I'm gonna do when I get there
And take a breath and hold on tight
Spin around one more time
And gracefully fall back to the arms of grace

Cause I am hanging on every word you say and
Even if you don't want to speak tonight
That's alright, alright with me
Cause I want nothing more than
To sit outside Heaven's door
And listen to you breathing
Is where I wanna be yeah

I'm looking past the shadows in my mind into the truth and I'm
Trying to identify the voices in my head
God which one's you
Let me feel one more time what it
Feels like to feel and
Break these calluses off of me
One more time

Cause I am hanging on every word you say and
Even if you don't wanna speak tonight
That's alright, alright with me
Cause I want nothing more than
To sit outside your door
And listen to your breathing
Is where I wanna be yeah
Where I wanna be

I don't want a thing from you
Bet you're tired of me
Waiting for the scraps to fall off of your table to the ground
Cause I just want to be here now

Cause I am hanging on every word you say and
Even if you don't wanna speak tonight
That's alright, alright with me
Cause I want nothing more than
To sit outside Heaven's door
And listen to your breathing
Is where I wanna be yeah

Cause I am hanging on every word you say and
Even if you don't wanna speak tonight
That's alright, alright with me
Cause I want nothing more than
To sit outside Heaven's door
And listen to you breathing
Is where I wanna be yeah
Where I wanna be
Where I wanna be

The Skeptical Saint

The Skeptical Saint

One Dark night
I Saw my Saviour crucified on a tree
His cold, beaten up body was hanging there
Starring back at me
Tears of blood falling from his agonized face
And His frail body full of bloodied scars
He did not look like himself
He did not even look human
I hardly could recognize him
With His dying breath
He cried "it is Finished"
I knew He had died

As my eyes swelled up with tears
I closed them in despair
I could remember His warning
He said
One day I will give up my body as a living sacrifice
For the world to see and know
That I am their one and only true Messiah
I will die a death so horrible to imagine
But it is you that I will redeem
And I will arise again
More valiant than before
And the whole world will tremble before me'...

It was then, I could not believe that he would die
I thought to myself
He cannot die for He is the son of the most high God
Who will deliver us, if He is dead?
But now that He is dead
Sorrow overwhelmed me
We are defeated
I said in my heart
Who will save us now?
Hopelessness clouded my heart
As I trembled in fear

Then one bright morning
The Virgin Mary and Mary of Magdalene
Ran up to us as we wept for the death of our Messiah
They cried aloud with such joy
Our Savior is Alive
He has risen from dead
I stumbled into the shadows
Again I thought to myself
How can the son of man arise from the dead?
Then I reasoned with myself saying
No, once a man is dead he cannot come back to life again

But then
A bright light appeared
The light blinded my vision
I could only see a shining figure
That stood before us
My whole body began to tremble
As I heard a voice call out to me
Thomas! Why do you doubt me?
Come see my hands and my feet
And believe'

As I trembled before Him
I touched His hands
And placed my fingers in his side
And I wept
For I was ashamed that I had doubted Him
He then lifted up my head
And smiled
Thomas, do you now believe
I looked up and gazed at His brilliant face
And said
Yes, I do believe!
You are alive!
And I thank you for saving me
